Program Description

Dog Gone Clean, the trade name of Paul Daniel Nickerson, is a mobile dog grooming service operating in Ocala and The Villages, Florida, at hurricanebath.com. We send text messages to our own existing dog grooming clients about their appointments and their account. We do not text anyone who has not booked with us and agreed to receive texts, and we never buy, rent, or message purchased phone lists.

Consent

Consent is collected at booking on hurricanebath.com. On the step where a client enters their name, email, and mobile number, there is a separate checkbox for text messages. It is never pre-checked. A client has to tick it themselves, and leaving it alone does not stop them booking: agreeing to texts is never a condition of service. Consent can also be turned off at any time from the client portal, or by replying STOP to any message.

This is exactly what that checkbox and its wording look like at booking:

This is the consent control and wording as it appears at the point of opt-in on hurricanebath.com/book, on the step where a client enters their name, email, and mobile number. It starts unchecked, the client ticks it themselves, and a booking completes without it.

Someone Else's Number

A client can ask us to remind a second person about a visit: a spouse, a neighbor, a dog walker who is at the house that day. A client cannot agree to text messages on that person's behalf, so a number added this way receives email only. We do not text that number to ask, either. The client is handed a message to pass along from their own phone, and the second person opts in by texting us from the handset itself. That inbound message is the consent and the record of it. Nothing leaves our number to a second person until they have written to us first. Consent is held against the number itself, so it is recorded, refusable, and revocable by the person holding that handset and by nobody else.

For the same reason, consent does not move when a number changes. A client who replaces their mobile number in the portal is asked again for the new one, and the old number is recorded as opted out.

Message Categories

Appointment confirmations and reminders, on-the-way notices when your dog grooming visit is close, and replies to questions you send us. Separately, if you choose to sign in to your account with your phone number instead of your email, we text you a one-time sign-in code. We do not send marketing or promotional texts on this program.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your bookings and account preferences, up to a maximum of 60 messages per month. A typical client on a recurring visit receives about 3 to 5 messages per month around each appointment.

STOP and HELP Instructions

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all text messages. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at service@doggoneclean.us.
